Like a joke, man;)

I have some colleagues and friends who are too talented to be skipped in your trip through my LaStankov Strip:

Rastislav Sec, Slovakia (the first person to post a link from his page to mine;-).

Peter Ondko, Slovakia (one of the best mathematicians among us, and... one of us).

Jan Duras, Slovakia (an unpolished diamond).

Katarina Kotovova, Slovakia (a charm that substituted CERGE-EI with Chicago, and I know why;-).

While I am updating the other links, you may check the cities that I believe are worth spending more than a night. I've been there or lived there, worked there or daydreamed there, slept there and loved there:

Varna, Bulgaria (proud to say, my home town - best for tourism in Bulgaria)

Shumen, Bulgaria (one of my childhood towns)

Moscow, Russia (lived there for half a year in my early childhood, at the main building of Moscow State University)

Sofia, Bulgaria (best city for a career on local Bulgarian turf. Not so great for living, though. However, if you're really good, you can make it anywhere)

New York, NY (well, looks like the center of the universe but it's obviously not. Good for wasting money though:)

Silverthorne, CO (worked there the whole summer of 2001, tough times, man, I'm telling you. A very good town to stop by on the way from Chicago to Las Vegas, or vice versa:)

Vienna, Austria (too western to be my type of city and still too beautiful to miss)

Brussles, Belgium (may be because it was late autumn, I found this city pretty unwelcoming and grey. Good for doing business though!)

Paris, France (one of my favourites, you will fall for it, I'm sure)

Amsterdam, the Netherlands (Like in a fairy tale, single-styled yet beautiful and attractive, dark yet happy-ending).

Bucarest, Romania (I must admit with grief, more likeable than Sofia)

Skopje, Macedonia (average Balkan country capital city)

Istanbul, Turkey (a surprisingly welcoming and very, very beatiful city. Don't forget to bargain when you are shopping. I tried it for the sake of it, it gives you the adrenaline and it can be also fun:)

Thessaloniki, Greece (the Greek version of Varna)

and of course, the unforgettable, the enchanting, the one and only...

Prague.
