Petar Stankov is a Junior Researcher at the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education – Economics Institute
(CERGE-EI), Prague, Czech Republic. He holds an MA degree in Economics
from CERGE-EI, and is a PhD candidate there. His dissertation topic is Essays on Deregulation and Growth.
Before coming to Prague, Petar was working as an Enterprise Policy Researcher for one of the leading Bulgarian analytical think-tanks – the Center for Economic Development (CED) in Sofia, Bulgaria, while at the same time progressing with his PhD thesis from the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) in Sofia, Bulgaria. His dissertation Origin and Development of the New Private Property in the CEE after 1989 was defended in the Fall semester of the 2009-2010 academic year.
