Since
  Fall 2010, I am back in town. Feels good. I am a senior
  assistant professor of Economics at the University of National and World
  Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria (<a href="http://www.unwe.bg" target="_blank">UNWE</a>),
  and a Junior Researcher at the Center for Economic Research and Graduate
  Education – Economics Institute (<a href="http://www.cerge-ei.cz"
  target="_blank">CERGE-EI</a>), Prague, Czech Republic. I hold a Ph.D. degree
  in Political Economy from the UNWE, and an MA degree in Economics from
  CERGE-EI, and am a Ph.D. candidate there. My tentative dissertation title is <i>Essays
  on Deregulation and Growth</i>. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
  <p>Before Prague, I was working as an Enterprise Policy Researcher for one of
  the leading Bulgarian analytical think-tanks – the Center for Economic
  Development (<a href="http://www.ced.bg" target="_blank">CED</a>) in Sofia,
  Bulgaria, while at the same time progressing with my Ph.D. thesis from the (<a href="http://www.unwe.acad.bg"
  target="_blank">UNWE</a>) in Sofia, Bulgaria. I defended my other dissertation <a
  href="papers/Stankov_Disertaciq_20090510.pdf"><i>Origin and Development of
  the New Private Property in the CEE after 1989</i></a> in 2009. I enjoy making progress with students and with research, still more than my leisure. </p>
