I am an Associate Professor at CERGE-EI (a joint workplace of Charles University, Prague and Czech Academy of Sciences). I am also affiliated with the Institute of Economic Studies, Charles University in Prague, IZA and CEPR.

My area of research is mainly development microeconomics, experimental economics and behavioral economics. My recent work focuses on causes and consequences of group conflict, discrimination and formation of preferences. I have conducted field experiments on related topics in Uganda, India, the Republic of Georgia, Sierra Leone and the Czech Republic.
